What is BIS?
Bangkok International Symposium of Implant Dentistry (BIS)
As dental implants are highly need for edentulous patients all over the world, there are dental implants congresses held in many parts of the world. As we know, Southeast Asia is one of the highest populated regions and the demand for dental implants is increasing very fast. In order to keep up with the knowledge and technologies, we have to travel across the globe to attend dental implant meetings to learn and gain more experiences back to professionally treat our patients. After several years of organizing dental implant meetings in Thailand, the Thai Association of Dental Implantology or TADI decided to organize the first international implant symposium held in Bangkok in 2010 called “Bangkok International Symposium of Implant Dentistry (BIS)” and invited the dental professionals in the region to join the event. The objective was not only the participants can learn and share knowledge and experiences in the field of dental implantoly, but also to unite, corporate and have a friendship among the dentists who have the same passion across the region as a single community. We also established the “Implant Expo” alongside the scientific program which many implant business companies join the exhibition to show their recent products, technology, innovations and material. Also it was the biggest implant exhibition of that time. From 2010, the BIS has been held every 2 years until this year. The BIS2022 is now organized by an international committee comprised of the renowned implant experts from 13 countries around the region. Moreover, we aim to make BIS the biggest implant meeting in the region and would like to invite all dental professionals who have the same passion in dental implant to join the symposium. You will find a very warm hospitality, friendship, joy and highly academic meeting in Bangkok in BIS2022 during November 28 – 30.

Registration Policy
- Your registration will be valid when payment is received in full by the Association.
- The Association reserves the right to amend any part of the program without giving prior notice should the need arise.
- The Association reserves the right to cancel the conference or any part thereof without prior notice in the event of unexpected circumstances.
- For onsite registration, only credit card and cash payments in Thai Baht (THB) will be accepted.
- If you wish to pay by credit card please register online at www.tadi.or.th
Cancellation Policy
All registration cancellations must be made in writing (by email) to the BIS2022: info@tadi.or.th. All cancellation deadline are based on (2359 GMT+7)
For all delegates, refunded will be made net of bank charges and refund administrative charges. Please allow up to 60 days for processing.
Between August 1st and September 30 th,2022
Reimbursement of 50% of the fees paid. With no payment received before cancellation, this amount will still remain due.
After October 31st ,2022
No refund. With no payment received before that date, the total amount will still remain due to the congress office. All refunds will be issued after the congress. Queries will not be accepted after the event.

Dear distinguished colleagues,
Welcome you back to Bangkok International Symposium of Dental Implant (BIS) 2022. Looking back in 2010 when the first BIS was held, It was not widely recognized by dentists who were interested in dental implants in the region or even in Thailand at that time. When the last BIS was held in 2019, there were more than 750 participants and more than 40 business companies joined this event.

Call for abstracts
The Thai Association of Dental Implantology (TADI) extends an invitation to you to submit an abstract for Oral and Poster Presentation at the 6th Bangkok International Symposium of Implant Dentistry 2022 (BIS2022) with the title “Changes and Challenges in Implant Dentistry”, which will be a great opportunity to exchange innovations, opinions and experiences in the field of implant therapy and related disciplines. The aforementioned conference shall be held at BITEC, Bangna, Bangkok during 28th – 30th November, 2022, as shown in the details attached.
Abstracts, in English only, can be submitted as Word or PDF file (April- 25 August) by e-mail to posterpresentation@tadi.or.th

ประวัติและความเป็นมา
สมาคมทันตกรรมรากเทียมแห่งประเทศไทยถือกำเนิดมาจากชมรมทันตกรรมรากเทียมแห่งประเทศไทยซี่งก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 2527 (1984) โดยการรวมกลุ่มทันตแพทย์ที่เป็นผู้ริเริ่มบุกเบิกงานทันตกรรมรากเทียมในประเทศไทยมีการดำเนินงานมาโดยลำดับ มีการพัฒนาทั้งในส่วนขององค์กรและกิจกรรมต่างๆ จนมีผู้เข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกเป็นจำนวนมาก ต่อมาจึงได้มีการจดทะเบียนเป็นสมาคมทันตกรรมรากเทียมแห่งประเทศไทย ในปี 2552 (2009) โดยมี นพ.ทพ.สมชาย เศรษฐศิริสมบัติ ดำรงตำแหน่งเป็นนายกสมาคมทันตกรรมรากเทียมแห่งประเทศไทยเป็นคนแรกและได้มีการขยายกิจกรรมเพื่อพัฒนาและเผยแพร่ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีด้านทันตกรรมรากเทียมแก่สมาชิกเพื่อให้ทันตแพทย์ไทยได้มีความรู้ความสามารถในการให้บริการทันตกรรมรากเทียมแก่ผู้ป่วยได้มาตรฐานระบบสากล สมาคมได้เติบใหญ่และมีสมาชิกเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง มีการประชุมวิชาการประจำปีและการประชุมรากเทียมสัญจรทุกปีเพื่อขยายความรู้ไปยังสมาชิกในทุกภูมิภาคของประเทศ และเพื่อให้ไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางทางด้านทันตกรรมรากเทียมในภูมิภาค สมาคมได้ริเริ่มจัดงานประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ Bangkok International Symposium of Implant Dentistry ขึ้นที่กรุงเทพโดยได้เริ่มต้นในปี 2553 (2010) หรือ BIS2010 ถึงแม้ในช่วงระยะเวลานั้น ประเทศไทยจะมีวิกฤตทางการเมือง แต่การประชุม BIS2010 กลับประสบผลสำเร็จอย่างงดงาม มีผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมกว่า 500 คน และตามด้วยงาน BIS2012 ที่มีผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมกว่า 700 คน ตามมาด้วยการประชุมในปี BIS2015 การประชุม BIS มีการพัฒนาจนล่าสุดในการประชุม BIS2017 สมาคมฯ มีผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมมากกว่า 900 คน สมาคมได้มีขยายความร่วมมือไปยังสมาคมทันตกรรมรากเทียมในมิตรประเทศในแถบเอเชีย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น เกาหลี ญี่ปุ่น ไต้หวัน ฟิลิปปินส์ มีการทำ MOU โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเชื่อมโยงสมาชิกของพันธมิตรร่วมกันพัฒนาวงการทันตกรรมรากเทียมของกลุ่มประเทศในทวีปเอเซีย และยังได้เน้นที่จะขยายความร่วมมือไปยังประเทศเพื่อนบ้านใกล้เคียงไม่ว่าจะเป็น ลาว พม่า เขมร เวียดนาม เพื่อร่วมกันพัฒนาวิชาการในแต่ละประเทศ ให้ก้าวเข้าสู่ระดับนานาชาติต่อไปและเพื่อให้ประชาชนในภูมิภาคได้รับบริการทางด้านทันตกรรมรากเทียมอย่างมีมาตรฐานเพื่อสุขภาพช่องปากและคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี
